It’s already the weekend and there’s plenty on the go so let’s dive right in!

With the return of some classic Ottawa events (hello Ribfest!), it feels like we’ve finally made it to summer in the city.

Happy Pride Ottawa! One of the highlights of this weekend is the Capital Pride Parade on Sunday, but there are so many other incredible events happening throughout the weekend.

This week marks the return of one of my favourite summer events: the Grands Feux du Casino Lac-Leamy. And while this means we’re heading towards the end of summer, there’s still plenty to see and do!

On Friday, July 7, 2023, OrKidstra and the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa partner up to send music straight to your ears. The icing on the cake? It’s on wheels! Visit three hot spots as you travel around Ottawa on a double-decker bus, where you’ll get to witness enchanting live performances by over 30 OrKidstra students!

Fall is in the air! And according to the forecast, so is some rain. But rain or shine, we’ve got some great events lined up this weekend. 

August is here and there’s plenty to pack in before you start thinking about the end of summer or back to school! Whether you want indoors, outdoors, laid-back or high-energy, there’s something for you happening this weekend.

Things are starting to look up for us, Ottawa. Both the days and the Rideau Canal Skateway have gotten longer this week, and we may be on the precipice of a cautious reopening. (Maybe. Don’t quote me.) February is the shortest month of the year, so let’s get through it gracefully, with heart and some optimism for the approaching spring!

Stage 3 is still a weird place to be so be sure to balance your mental and physical health with joyful activities while practicing distancing and relentless hand washing!
