While given the current circumstances in regards to COVID-19, this weekend still brings entertainment.
It’s time for a long weekend roundup! The weather is all over the map but that’s never stopped us before.
Well 613ers, we have made it through a full year of pandemic-style living, and this pretty little city of ours just keeps on keeping on. The weather has taken a major turn for the better, so despite the shifting restrictions of the red zone, we can enjoy ourselves a little bit in the valley this […]
It has been a long winter and this weekend we celebrate the arrival of spring, sunny skies, and above-zero temperatures. Whether you’re eager to get outside or you’re keen to stay home, we’ve some fun ideas as to how to make the most of your time this weekend.
We’ve come a long way since our Weekend Roundup: social distancing edition was published around this time last year. This weekend, let’s focus on the positives… there’s a lot!
It seems like March has stumbled in like a lamb despite the cold temperatures, and while I have no real idea what that means, I do know that we are just one week closer to real Spring.
This weekend marks the end of the year’s shortest month, which has managed to feel like the longest. We’ve almost come full circle, as we approach a full year in this weird pandemic world. With restrictions eased, there are in person events on the docket this weekend, complemented by a variety of online events if you aren’t yet ready to get back out there. Without further ado, here’s the lowdown on what’s up this weekend in Ottawa.
Well Ottawa, we’re back in the Orange zone. With that change comes new opportunities to enjoy arts and culture in town, while putting into practice all those social distancing/proper hygiene techniques we’ve been perfecting over the last year.
We’ve arrived at yet another pandemic-style holiday weekend and things are…weird, to put it bluntly. While we may still be required to stay at home this Valentine’s/Family Day long weekend, there is plenty to do while staying safely away from others. Also, let’s not get too excited, but it would appear that the lockdown measures in Ottawa are reaching their end and the slow reopening of non-essential services is just around the corner, so that’s another thing to celebrate, along with an extra day off work.
Things are starting to look up for us, Ottawa. Both the days and the Rideau Canal Skateway have gotten longer this week, and we may be on the precipice of a cautious reopening. (Maybe. Don’t quote me.) February is the shortest month of the year, so let’s get through it gracefully, with heart and some optimism for the approaching spring!
As always, the Weekend Roundup is here to offer up some suggestions for your weekend activities.
With another wintry weekend at home around the corner, have we reached our limit for cozy indoor virtual fun? Gosh, I hope not.
This weekend marks the arrival of yet another COVID-19 lockdown in Ottawa. With stay-at-home orders in effect as of midnight last night, this weekend’s roundup will focus on things you can do within your own home and neighbourhood, as venturing out is not in the cards for the next while.
Between lockdowns and curfews, we’re low on organized events to share this weekend. So besides a friendly reminder to make safe choices, we’ve got a few suggestions lined up for your weekend.
Whatever you do over the holidays, 613ers, please stay safe and stay positive! Tag us in your fun at-home shenanigans and your lovely festive walks. The Weekend Roundup Crew will be here and ready to plan your weekends in 2021. #APT613
