Acclaimed songwriter Justin Rutledge will celebrate the release of his 10th album Something Easy with two shows in Ottawa at Red Bird Live on June 23 (sold out) and June 24 at 8pm. Tickets available online.

Fan of Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald? You won’t want to miss Ella & Frank at the National Arts Centre Thursday through Saturday.

The Latin American Film Festival finishes up this weekend with films on Friday and Saturday.

The Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival takes place at Mādahòkì Farm June 24-25. While there won’t be any public parking on site, there is a shuttle from Algonquin College.

If you haven’t been to the Urban Art Collective (1088 Somerset Street West) yet, you need to go check out this great new hub for local artists. No better time than on a Thursday from 5-9pm during their Hintonburg Night Market.

Friday

Kick off your weekend with Music in the Park at Dundonald Park, brought to you by The Art House Café and the Dundonald Improvement Group. This week, enjoy music from Kenny Hayes.

Celebrate National Indigenous History Month at the Indigenous Night Market from 5-9pm in the ByWard Market. There’ll be a live DJ, food, vendors, performances, and film screenings.

The Valley Fiddlers is a group of string players in the Ottawa area playing chamber arrangements of traditional fiddle, Celtic and folk music. They’ll be performing on June 23 at 6pm at Cafe Earle in Wakefield.

Dairy Distillery is hosting Over the Rainbow trivia night. Doors open at 5:30pm and your $35/person ticket includes a feature cocktail and a snack box from Almonte’s North Market. Tickets are available online.
