We’ve arrived at another weekend here in this great city and with it brings the start of a new season, sunny skies, and hot summer heat. There is so much to do to celebrate the arrival of the summer solstice, whether at home or outdoors, so we will get right to it.
We’ve got a big weekend ahead. As Ottawa enters Stage 2 of reopening, we’ll also be celebrating 613 Day, a birthday party of sorts for Ottawa and Apt613.
Ottawa in late spring cannot be beat. Take time this weekend to enjoy our 400 shades of green, maintain a safe distance, and please wash your hands

The solstice is upon us! Summer has officially arrived in this beautiful city and festival season is just in time to celebrate the change of seasons.
One of the most culturally rich and exciting festivals is coming to Ottawa June 21-24. Starting festivities on National Indigenous People’s Day, which happens to coincide with the summer solstice, the Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival (SSIF) will attract over 40,000 visitors to celebrate the diverse cultures and heritages of Indigenous communities across Canada.
