Welcome to the first snow covered weekend in the city. If the cold temperatures and slippery sidewalks aren’t enough to make you think like a bear and hibernate this weekend, there is plenty to do out and about in Ottawa. So get bundled up and get out there. We promise you it’ll be worth it!
This weekend rests on the cusp of May into June and is jam packed full of fun. A weekend so full, it is impossible to do it all, so we’ve put together this handy little guide to the weekend’s best. Get a pen and paper ready: it’s time to plan and maximize on the good times.
Over the past few years, Ottawa has seen a surge in female comedians in a previously male dominated scene, producing winners of both the local comedy club competitions and the Ottawa Comedy Awards. This week on Apt613 Live, we hear from Chris about Shanghai Nights, a music and comedy showcase that takes place the first Thursday of every month and what it takes to conquer your fear and become a stand-up comic. Tune in to Apt613 Live on Tuesdays from 6pm on CHUO 89.1FM.
Hey, do you wanna feel SO ENERGETIC? Try FESTIVALS! Our rep as one of the best cities for fests is no exception in the winter. Between Megaphono and the TD Ottawa Winter Jazz Festival for music, and Cracking-Up the Capital for comedy (now that’s a tongue-twister), you’ve got plenty of reasons to leave the house […]
The ongoing construction on Bronson Avenue has hit many businesses in the area quite hard. Whether it’s a decrease in retail sales, or dealing with the daily hassle of having their neighbourhood turned upside down, the impact has been significant. Instead of buckling under the pressure, however, seven food establishments decided to offer a special […]
