Art in the Park, formerly known as The New Art Festival, is back for its 32nd year in Central Park in the Glebe on Saturday and Sunday. More than 170 painters, potters, sculptors, jewellers, clothiers and mixed media artists will be showing off and selling their wares. Pet-friendly and kid activities too!
The Friends of the Experimental Farm will be hosting a used book sale on Saturday and Sunday, with thousands of books up for grabs for great prices of which the proceeds go to the work of Friends of the Farm.
Until Sunday, Orpheus Musical Theatre’s presentation of the classic Wizard of Oz is on at Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe. Check out the review and grab your tickets!
Urban Art Collective are hosting the DISRUPT Urban Art Fest and Market this weekend, with a diverse team of talented local artists who are coming together to create a collaborative street art masterpiece.

The first of three shows celebrating summer in Ottawa, the Ottawa Comedy Cabaret Cruise features local comedians like Dawn Xanklin, Rose-Ingrid Benjamin, Owen McGowan, and The Velvet Duke and runs aboard the Pirate Life ship in Mooney’s Bay. These events are mobility device accessible and sounds like a great way to spend a summer evening!
The Byward Night Market is on with a concert series featuring Jessica Pearson and the East Wind and Malia Rogers, and lots of shops, food and artisans/creators.

Art Battle Ottawa has its last event before the finals – your chance to come to watch as artists compete with open materials to create their masterpieces in three rounds of 20 minutes.
