Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

Whether you’re enjoying some time off or still working, hopefully, you can end the year with fantastic events and activities across the city.

This will be the last Roundup for 2024, so on behalf of the Weekend Roundup team, we wish you all a fun, safe, festive, and relaxing holiday. We will be back with more local love in 2025!

The lovely Ottawa Christmas Market is still on until Jan. 5 and there’s tons of local vendors to check out in case you didn’t get the gifts you wanted.

Alight at Night Festival is on until Jan. 4 — bundle up for an evening stroll through the lit-up Upper Canada Village.

Don’t like the cold but enjoy the lights? Drive through the Magic of Lights until Jan. 4 at Wesley Clover Park.

The IIHF World Juniors are taking place until Jan. 5 with plenty of opportunities to take in some exciting games.

Si vous parlez français — head to Théâtre de l’Île for Santa Clöz: La Comedie Musicale for a great show.

Local independent movie theatres the ByTowne and the Mayfair have a great line up to wrap up the month.

The RA Centre is hosting its Inaugural RA Open Pickleball Tournament to qualify for the 2025 True North Pickleball Tour Championship. Get your game on!

Thursday

Soca Kitchen is extending its 10th-anniversary celebrations with a special Boxing Day special discount of 50 per cent off all main courses from 5 to 7 pm.

It’s the sixth annual Boxing Day salsa party at The Mill St. Brew Pub.

Friday

Ottawa Quad roller skate sessions continue with a social roller skate to great tunes.

Ottawa Bad Movie Nights is hosting a double bill at the main Ottawa Public Library Branch with Gremlins at 1 pm and then Anna and the Apocalypse at 3 pm.

Sunday

Wizard’s Tower is hosting its Sunday League for Pokemon with random draws for prizes.

Café Earle in Wakefield is having an Appalachian Old Time Music Jam midday.

Bonus – New Year’s Eve

Before the big parties and the hustle and bustle of the season continues, maybe take some time for yourself with a NYE Flow and Let Go yoga class at Pure Yoga Westboro.
