For nearly four decades, the EUFF has become known for showcasing the landscapes, talents, and visions arising from countries like Ukraine, Germany, and other European Union states. With the latest iteration of the festival, 27 contemporary films demonstrate a range of genres, including comedies, road movies, dramas, thrillers, and documentaries.

EUFF is an annual event taking place in November of each year to feature the best of present-day cinema produced in the European Union.
The 2021 European Union Film Festival will release one or two new films every day from Nov. 12 to 28. All films will be available for 48 hours after their scheduled start date.
As the weather continues to cool down, and we have more reasons to stay inside where it is both cozy and safe, the city seems to be taking a breath before the hectic holiday season really kicks in.
This is the festival’s 33rd year in Ottawa and while a lot has changed over the years perhaps this year’s biggest change will be in the venue.
