Do it for the Grain (DIFTG) publishes a bimonthly print zine showcasing local photographers. They also present photo exhibitions and offer affordable workshops, services, and equipment to those in need. This spring they’re celebrating their fourth anniversary with an exhibition titled “Home/Chez Soi”, on display at Happy Goat Coffee Co.
Do It for the Grain Zine has just launched a call for submissions to its four-year anniversary photography exhibition. The deadline to submit your work is February 20, 2023, and submissions are open to analog photographers of all levels of experience from Ottawa, eastern Ontario, and western Quebec.
Zine enthusiasts, rejoice! Broken Pencil Magazine is hosting its 27th annual Canzine festival in Ottawa this Sunday, November 6, at the Alma Duncan Salon in the Ottawa Art Gallery.
Celebrating three years of existence, this local organization empowers Ottawa film photographers through accessible publications of regular zines, print sales, and education opportunities. Happy birthday, Do It For The Grain!
