The countdown is on as we arrive upon the final weekend before the holidays. If you’ve managed to get your shopping done already (or even if you haven’t), there are lots of festive things to do about town that are plenty more fun than braving a mall in late December.
Canada.gov.ca, the Instagram account (“not the government”), makes its Ottawa debut at a sold-out show this Friday night at Brigid’s Well Pub, located in the historic St. Brigid’s Church in Lowertown.
Well friends, this is it—the last weekend before we lose all track of time and days of the week. Whether you are celebrating Christmas this weekend or just taking advantage of the festive spirit for some good shopping and vibes, the weekend is looking very holly jolly.
It’s *technically* the second weekend of Winterlude, but after a rollercoaster week of weather, the Rideau Canal still hasn’t opened and ice carvings are starting to melt (despite the best efforts of NCC staff!). That said, there are still some great Winterlude-esque activities to enjoy this weekend, plus a number of other great Ottawa events.
We’re more than halfway through January and it’s finally starting to feel like winter.
