July’s Awesome Ottawa award goes to Community Supported Gratitude to facilitate weekly giveaways in recognition of everyday people.

June’s Awesome Ottawa award goes to the Young Arts Leaders Collective to support the inclusion of free art with takeout orders at local restaurants.

In a rare move, Awesome Ottawa selected two projects for their monthly micro grant. They’ve done this a couple of times in the past, but not since 2018. “We figured this was a good time to give some extra support to some awesome local projects,” says trustee Avi Caplan.

Awesome Ottawa is part of a global movement forwarding the interest of awesome in the universe, $1,000 at a time.

March’s Awesome Ottawa award goes to Erin Austen and the Ottawa chapter of Medical Makers to support a Medical Make-a-thon in the city.

Awesome Ottawa’s October grant was awarded to Ott Mahmud to support Pumpkin Alley, a community initiative in Old Ottawa South that brings neighbours together to carve pumpkins and then display them on Halloween.

Founder Erin Kennedy was the recent recipient of the 100th Awesome Ottawa grant.

Awesome Ottawa is awarding its 100th one thousand dollar grant since 2010.
