One of the busiest weekends for fall colours has come and gone, but there’s still plenty of beautiful foliage to see. Check out the National Capital Commission’s colour meter and guide to Fall Rhapsody to plan this weekend’s activities. Looking for something else to do? Read on as you won’t be-leaf how much is happening in town this weekend!

All Weekend

ArohaFest is a bilingual festival showcasing the art and culture of India. Events run all weekend at the National Arts Centre.

With only two weeks until Halloween, this weekend is another great opportunity to explore the spooky side of Ottawa. Why not check out a haunted house, explore a corn maze, or pick your perfect pumpkin?

Ottawa Pops Orchestra’s The Music of Danny Elfman takes place on Friday and Saturday evening, with a matinee performance at 2 pm on Saturday. Tickets range from $40 – $70, with reduced prices available for those under 30.

The Ottawa Retro and Antique Market is a two day market at Next Door Ottawa.

One World Bazaar runs for 10 weekends (from the middle of September to the end of November).

Angels & Demons is Iron Cabaret’s Halloween cabaret show playing at The Gladstone Theatre.

Another NHL season is upon us and the Ottawa Senators are playing Thursday vs the Seattle Kraken and Saturday vs the New York Islands.

Fresh Meat Fest, Ottawa’s freshest theatre festival, takes place October 15-18.

The Festival of Small Halls has events from October 3 – December 6. This weekend, events are taking place in Small Hall venues in the region. Check out the schedule here.

Thursday

Francophone artist Ariane Moffatt plays the National Arts Centre on Thursday at 7:30pm.

Friday

Victor Nesrallah is bringing his album Blood From the Stone live to the stage at Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe.

Get a sneak peek at Nuit Blanche, all-night arts event set to return to Ottawa next fall. French aerial circus Transe Express will perform their Mobile Homme show in front of the Ottawa sign on York Street this Friday.

Databells, an immersive statistical symphony, ends October 17. Reserve your spot online before it ends.

Superstore’s Lauren Ash brings her Call Me When You Get This tour to the 27 Club on Friday night with Wet For Days.

Saturday

The Ottawa Tool Library is hosting a Repair Café at the Richelieu Vanier Community Centre from 10am-2pm.

The Ottawa REDBLACKS play the Montréal Alouettes on Saturday at 3pm.

Emo Night Ottawa returns to the 27 Club.

Tickets are sold out for the Canadian Museum of Nature’s Open House, but there may be a small number of walk-up tickets available.

Sunday

Les Arts Florissants are performing at Carleton Dominion-Chalmers Centre at 7:30pm. They’re a renowned baroque music ensemble and will be playing classic baroque pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries.

The Ottawa 67’s play the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday at 3pm.
