This weekend’s got something for everyone: music, art, food, and spooky fun!

All Weekend

The Ottawa Korean Film Festival takes place October 16-24 with an impressive program of films, including this a pick from Apt613’s Magic in the Dark: Past Lives, being shown on Sunday for free at the Bytowne Cinema (RVSP online to save your seat).

Lots of spook-tacular options this weekend as we near Halloween. Saunders Farm FrightFest and PumpkinFest continue through to the end of the month, as does Pumpkins After Dark at Wesley Clover Parks. Looking to get spooked? Check out Behind the Screams Haunted House until November 3.

Winter isn’t that far off… get ready at the Ottawa Ski Show. Saturday and Sunday at the EY Centre.

The NAC is home to a triple bill program of dance with live orchestral music: BOLERO X + Silent Tides + Chamber.

There are ArohaFest events all weekend at the NAC, including a number of free events.

If you’re planning a trip to Gatineau Park for Fall Rhapsody, consider the free shuttle that runs throughout the park all week. There are plenty of other gorgeous spots around town to enjoy the fall colours.

One World Bazaar is open all weekend for shopping. This weekend, celebrate Latin America with special events including live music.

The EY Centre is home to the National Women’s Show for the weekend.

Thursday

Enriched Bread Artists is hosting an open house over the next two weekends and they’re kicking things off with a vernissage this Thursday from 6-9pm.

The Crackup Comedy Festival is at the Algonquin Commons Theatre.

Friday

Enjoy a disco night at La Cocktailerie, housed at the Distillerie du Square in Chelsea.

Saturday

The first-ever workshop to disrupt anti-Black racism using improv is on Saturday at The Grove Studio in Hintonburg. Learn more in our post here.

Fans of James Bond won’t want to miss Double O Sound, a James Bond music show at the National Arts Centre. There’ll be 18 musicians performing during a matinee and evening performance.

Jump back in time to enjoy a time machine dance party with music through the ages at House of TARG with DJ Remi Royal.
