Ah, a new year! A fresh start! But there’s so much pressure with making resolutions. So, 613ers, let’s instead set an intention this year. Let’s make that intention: local. Whenever you can, think about how you can support local. Ottawa-Gatineau is lucky to have incredible small businesses, retailers, restaurants, cinemas, theatre and arts, etc. Let’s do more to keep those businesses thriving as we enter 2023 and leave the last few rough years behind us! Who’s with me? A great place to start can also be checking out the Apt613 Patreon campaign.

All Weekend

Speaking of which, the Canadian Museum of History’s exhibit on Autumn Peltier – Indigenous Water Protector ends on January 8.

The Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel Exhibition is on in Ottawa’s EY Centre untio January 22.

A new season of Broadway Workout kicks off with classes on various days across the city. Get your musical theatre dance on in a no-pressure fun environment while you work up a sweat.

Some local bands, a great local venue AND pinball and perogies? It can’t get better than Pyramid Theorem with The Aphelion and Finely Tuned Elephant at House of TARG.
