After a three-year hiatus, the Ottawa Antique & Vintage Market and the Ottawa Vintage Clothing Show return to The Fieldhouse at Carleton University on Saturday, October 22, from 10am–5pm and Sunday, October 23, from 10am–4pm, as one epic vintage shopping experience. The newly combined two-day expo will fill the 30,000-square-foot Fieldhouse with hard-to-find vintage décor, antiques, and vintage clothing.
The event is a melange of everything vintage, with 60+ vendors: kitchenware and barware from the seventies, mid-century modern furniture, Indigenous carvings and wool parkas, advertising and fashion art, Victorian goblets and papier-mâché, country pine furniture and quilts, cast iron garden items and vintage Christmas decorations, wool sweaters and blankets, mid-century and estate jewelry, leather jackets, cowboy boots and much more.
Buying vintage clothing lets you build a wardrobe with one-of-a-kind, on-trend, and sustainable pieces, while buying vintage décor and antique focal pieces can turn your home from cold to cool in a snap. Both have the added advantage of supporting small business owners. We can’t wait to dig through treasures and feast our eyes upon the pieces.
Customers will discover new vendors and rediscover lots of their favourite returning merchants. Show Manager Catherine Knoll says, “We have a 25-year history in Ottawa, so we’re really excited to welcome back our customers and continue to offer the community this one-stop shopping event that supports small businesses and sustainable purchasing practices!”
Admission is $12 and tickets are purchased at the event’s site. Credit, debit & cash are accepted. There are also ATMs on site.
