Ottawa Valley Roller Derby

With the return of some classic Ottawa events (hello Ribfest!), it feels like we’ve finally made it to summer in the city.

On the tail end of this year’s first week-long heat wave, and kicking off on the solstice, this weekend is the first official summer weekend! Celebrate the arrival of this stellar season with some great goings on around town.

So much has happened with the roller skating community in Ottawa in the past year since my last post on roller skating updates! Since its store opening over a year ago, Ottawa’s local roller skating store Rideau Rollers has been going on strong, expanding to provide skate maintenance events, skatepark workshops with guest instructors, trail skating outings and even hosting a fundraiser show to support the Ottawa Trans Library.
