It may not feel like it, with the weather still being generally chilly, but we have made it to May! Spring market season is upon us, and there are several of them happening this weekend, alongside a bunch of other fun things—so without further ado, we give you the Weekend Roundup!
Finally, we’ve reached the last weekend of January! Winterlude kicks off this weekend, and for the first time in a long time, the weather is cooperating for the winter festival, and keeping the canal open and sculptures frozen! If the outdoors aren’t your jam, there is plenty to do inside this weekend too, from live music, to craft markets and seed planting workshops.
Last weekend may have brought us an extra hour of sleep, but we are now playing in dark mode for the foreseeable future, so don’t squander away those precious daytime hours and enjoy yourself this weekend. If you’re worried that you won’t be able to make the most of what little daytime we have this time of year, don’t worry; there is also plenty to do after darkness falls.
This long October weekend is about fall, feasts, family, and friends. When you aren’t stuffing yourself with turkey and pumpkin pie, there are plenty of things to do – both seasonal and otherwise.
On a sunny Wednesday, I attended the GNAG Theatre’s presentation of the Drowsy Chaperone. Armed with bouquets, community members and friends of friends gather together in the grand hall before the show. We’re treated to an irresistible and unabashed comedic musical.
Another weekend, another roundup. If you want something to do other than an all-weekend St. Patrick’s party, we’ve got you covered.
It’s a busy time of year with plenty to do! Whether you’re staying cozy inside at a holiday market or concert, or venturing out to check on the winter trails, have fun!

Here’s what you can expect for December’s holiday markets and craft fairs.
On this first fall weekend, there is so much to do to celebrate the arrival of this spectacular season. From your go-to fall activities like apple picking to a festival (or two) and a craft fair market (or four), this weekend has so much going on that you can’t possibly do it all.
With daylight savings bringing an extra hour of sunshine to our wakeful time and the promise of light at the end of our workday, we hope this puts a little spring in your step ahead of the official change in seasons next weekend. There is plenty to do with that bit of extra pep this weekend, so without further ado, we give you: the Weekend Roundup.
This weekend marks the end of November and, with December quickly approaching, the holiday season has begun. For all your local gift shopping needs, here’s a roundup of some of the holiday craft fairs and markets coming up in the next few weeks!
Welcome to the first snow covered weekend in the city. If the cold temperatures and slippery sidewalks aren’t enough to make you think like a bear and hibernate this weekend, there is plenty to do out and about in Ottawa. So get bundled up and get out there. We promise you it’ll be worth it!
