There were 100 films selected from a record-setting 2,469 entries.

Now in its 22nd year, the Latin American Film Festival will bring cinema from across Latin America to the Ottawa Art Gallery from May 9-31.

Admission is free and at 6:30pm the EU embassies serve complimentary food and drink samples.

The Canadian Film Institute is looking for digitized visual recordings of celebrations, events and people living their lives in recognizable sites in the Ottawa area as part of the Ottawa 2017 celebrations.

The program includes 11 screenings of international feature-length films, Ottawa premieres, and world premieres by Canadian artists. An awards ceremony closes the festival on Sunday evening, December 4.
