It always feel like we’ve made it to summer after hitting that first long weekend! This weekend, despite only last a couple shorts days, is jammed packed with events and activities. 

On a cool evening at TD Place on May 1, fans were treated to a record-breaking performance by Atlético Ottawa as they dropped a converted touchdown on Valour FC, beating the Winnipeg side 7-0.

With the 2024 Canadian Premier League season about to get underway, the excitement around Atlético Ottawa’s squad exceeds anything we’ve seen leading into any of the club’s four previous seasons. Signings like Matteo de Brienne, Manny Aparicio, Amer Didic, and the return of Ballou Tabla have caused a massive buzz league-wide online. But is that how fans are really feeling?

The end of August is upon us. It may not seem like it, with the blazing hot weather we’ve been having, but summer is winding down. Thankfully, there is plenty to do this weekend – whether in person or virtually – to help you make the most of one of the last weekends of the season.
