Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

March has certainly been flying by, and this weekend is the calm between the storms of St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, so take a moment to breathe as spring officially begins. I don’t think any of us were expecting to see grass and open water so soon, so take advantage of the weather and enjoy some sunshine, or some sugar shacks perhaps?

Jose Palacios’s We Can Start Over Again on display at Alliance Française Ottawa until June 23

We Can Start Over Again is Jose Palacios’ first solo exhibition, on display at Alliance Française Ottawa until June 23. We are one work week closer to real spring now, friends. Can you feel it? While the blossoms are slower to arrive than last year, we are counting our blessings and watching closely for the next perfect moment to hit a patio! This weekend is one for the books, with the launch of undercurrents—back in person!—and the Ottawa Grassroots Festival bringing new musical voices to downtown. The NAC is hitting it out of the park, as usual, and there is some great eco-conscious ultra-local shopping to do to round out the perfect spring weekend.

There are lots of ways to help support struggling businesses downtown — even if you don’t have money to order gift certificates or products with. Go to your favourite business’ social media and like, save, and share their posts to help spread the word. If you can support financially, don’t forget to check ahead if businesses are open and operating fully before heading down!
