Stepping into the mystical, magical and absolutely absurd world of Ingrid Hansen is always an honour. If you’re looking for an unforgettable and cheeky experience, this spicy puppet cabaret is the show to see!

This brilliantly twisted variety show—hosted by the relatable and washed up grandma Florence—combines hilarious characters, captivating charm and an abundance of silly. Hansen, a master puppeteer with a resumé that includes working with the Jim Henson Company on Fraggle Rock, brings her undeniable talent to the Meridian Theatres @ Centerpointe stage until Feb.1.

Watching Hansen create a masterpiece as she performs puppet vignettes is pure magic. Using her fingers, tongue, socks and trinkets, the various acts are brought to life in an incredible way: projected onto a massive screen, blending performance and film in a way that’s both captivating and brilliant. The show is raunchy and vaudevillian, packed with solid belly laughs and just the right amount of spice.

The costuming of the show, done by JiMBO, the Drag Clown, is nothing short of runway ready, with a stunning opening look and an all black ensemble that allows her to centre the characters she’s created.

Whether you love puppets or are simply looking for an entertaining, wacky experience, this performance is a must-see. The absolute mastery of Ingrid Hansen makes this a truly unique theatrical experience that will leave you awestruck and smiling so hard, your face hurts.

Make sure you buy tickets in advance as it’s close to selling out! There’s also an ASL interpreted show February 1st at 2:00PM.
