Pique is back for another round of bold, underground performances! On June 7, head to Arts Court (67 Nicholas St.) to experience Debaser’s boldest annual instalment of the music and multi-arts festival series.
Launched in 2021, Pique is a forward-thinking, artist-driven event series featuring eclectic musical, visual, and multimedia artists, produced by Debaser, happening four times a year.
This time around, Pique has a lineup of techno innovation, queer cabaret, laid-back indie/alternative, glitch punk, showcasing the collision of tradition and futurism.

Performers include local artists like bedroom-pop purveyors fanclubwallet, avant-pop balladist Orchidae, and feminist comedy outfit Small Fish (check out our feature on the duo!). Out-of-towners include Korean shamanic techno unit 64ksana, lo-fi folksy songwriter Bells Larsen, contemporary Inuit throat-singers Silla, and visionary video artist MvB.
The art market is also returning to Pique this summer, and their call for vendors is open! Each year, 20+ participating artisans, makers, small press publishers, and more offer their handmade wares to Pique audiences. This season, expect an even broader showcase of creative talent highlighting emerging and established vendors.
For a full list of performances, visit the Pique website. As always, Pique tickets are pay-what-you-can with a suggested price range of $45-75 (taxes and fees included), and the event is for all ages.
The event site is accessible, and detailed accessibility notes are categorized on their accessibility page. Their EQUIPE harm reduction team will be on-site to support audience members, and staff and volunteers are trained with harm reduction strategies to support audience members throughout the event.
