It’s not too late to check out the Kemptville Street Piano Summer Concert Series.

The series runs until Aug. 23, with free local and out-of-town blues, jazz, and folk talent every Saturday at 1pm, rain or shine.

By giving residents an instrument to play together, this project encourages locals to share their knowledge, initiate their own ‘play’, and create relationships, setting a precedent for positive experiences in Kemptville’s public spaces and inviting foot traffic to downtown businesses.

Since the first concert on July 5, the series has hosted Bradley Smith, Raoul Bhaneja, Roland Graham, and Justin Duhaime. Up next is:

  • Aug. 2: Bradley Smith open mic
  • Aug. 9: Wax Mannequin, the guitar-wielding troubadour
  • Aug. 16: Emmi Winter and the Heroic Mad Peasants, including Kemptville’s own Katie Nolan
  • Aug. 23: Jesse Greene, the one-of-a-kind blues solo show

Interested? Head over to the Kemptville street piano on the North Grenville Public Library terrace.

The library is wheelchair accessible, with air-conditioned bathrooms and free parking.
