The first night of the Ottawa Dragonboat Festival kicked off with a bang on Thursday night, with the first of three nights of free concerts, featuring all-Canadian artists. Thursday’s lineup included local up-and-comers The New Hires, followed by Wakefield’s fan favourites Rebelle and headliners Dear Rouge. It was a great start to a fabulous weekend, with all three bands delivering outstanding performances. The shows continue tonight with shows by Tim Baker, supported by local acts Alanna Sterling and The Gladsome Gentlemen.
