I’m sure we can all relate to the horrible, awful, and sometimes terrifying world of dating. Relationships are tough, but artist Katie Thayer performs a cabaret-esque tell-all about her trials and tribulations in the dating world, both on and offline.
Intimi(Dating): A Cabaret About Sex and Dating has all the boudoir-vibes, as Thayer adorns a sexy red sequinned dress, and a dose of raw emotion that will have you commiserating, and snapping along to her powerful storytelling, and catchy ukulele tunes.

The show is hilarious, and Thayer’s snappy one-liners kept me on the edge of my seat. Intimi(Dating) is also insanely raw, as Thayer bares all—literally—in some of the more contentious romantic situations she finds herself in over the years. Some of the content towards the end of the performance gets a little dark, as the façade of Thayer’s bawdy exterior melts into a tender yet uplifting sentiment.
Although the dating world can be lonely, Thayer’s show exclaims that the most important thing to remember is the love we all have inside for ourselves.
Intimi(Dating): A Cabaret About Sex and Dating is playing at Atelier Theatre from June 13–22.
