Presented by The Lighter Touch Art Collective, A Sexy Pigeon Show features Colum, a city pigeon, on a mission to win back humans’ love for all pigeon-kind.
This may sound like an ambitious goal, but by the end of the show, I think even the most stubborn pigeon hater will have been won over by Sarah Ivanco’s lovable character.
A Sexy Pigeon Show takes us on a journey through the psyche of a lonely, insecure pigeon who desperately longs to be a part of a community. If this sounds relatable to you, then I can guarantee you’ll enjoy the show. And if you’re a fan of audience participation, even better!

Sarah Ivanco was hilarious as the titular Sexy Pigeon. Her delivery was perfectly timed and delightfully deadpan. Her physical comedy was stellar and her ability to improvise was very impressive.
The dramatic turn of the play was unexpected and at times felt a bit out of place, but for the most part, this was a fun, silly and original solo-act show that I believe is a stand-out at the festival.
For those who can’t make it to the Ottawa Fringe Festival this year, A Sexy Pigeon Show will also be at the Toronto Fringe Festival from July 3–13, 2025.
A Sexy Pigeon Show is playing at Café Alternatif from June 12–22. Tickets are $14 plus service fees at the Fringe box office (3rd floor, Arts Court, 2 Daly Avenue), and at the three satellite box offices (LabO in the Ottawa Art Gallery, Fringe Courtyard, 67 Nicholas St and La Nouvelle Scène). Five and ten Show Passes are also available. Visit the Ottawa Fringe Festival’s website for the show’s schedule and check out their online schedule here.
