10,000 Digits of Pi is exactly how it sounds. Vinay Sagar gets on stage to recite as many digits of pi as he can before the show is over. The catch? The audience is intentionally attempting to stop him, so that Sagar can reveal his deepest secrets.
Using a technique known as a Memory Palace, Sagar displays some absurd images that assist him in reciting the digits of pi. The audience provides a slips of paper with various punishments to perform when Sagar eventually misses a digit or doesn’t meet his round’s quota.
While the challenges provide a unique experience to the show each time it is performed, the most impressive part for me personally was the sheer ability to memorize and recite the digits of pi.

The images on the screen behind him add to the incredible and hilarious feat that does a good job of including the audience in Sagar’s endeavour. Sagar’s stage presence was very confident and he did a good job of playing up his lovable-yet-awkward personality throughout the show.
This unstructured yet energetic show is perfect for those looking for a truly dynamic Fringe experience. Plus, I think I now know five new digits of pi.
