The Shenkman Arts Centre, Rogers TV, Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe, and the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC) are excited to announce the callout for artists to take part in Encore Ottawa Season 4! From October 2–6, 2023, these concerts will be presented in front of a small live audience at the Shenkman Arts Centre’s Richcraft Theatre, with performances and interviews recorded live and broadcasted on Rogers TV.
Applications are now open and close August 15 at 11:59pm ET. Applications will be assessed by a jury of diverse industry professionals, and OMIC will ensure a diversity of musicians (genres and backgrounds) and configurations of performances (solo artists, duos, bands) will be selected to participate. Performances will be 40 minutes in length. Artists will be paid fair rates for their performance and will have full access to their audio and video to use as they see fit. This is a great opportunity to have a high-quality live performance recorded for grant and festival submissions! Each performing act will receive promotions through OMIC and the Shenkman Arts Centre. Artists also may be asked to take part in interviews with local media outlets.
All applicants must be OMIC members in good standing, must not have participated in ENCORE in previous years, and must be able to perform 40 minutes of original material (no covers).
