It’s a jammed pack long weekend so let’s get right to it!
The end of August is upon us. It may not seem like it, with the blazing hot weather we’ve been having, but summer is winding down. Thankfully, there is plenty to do this weekend – whether in person or virtually – to help you make the most of one of the last weekends of the season.
COVID-19 cases are on the decline, vaccine rates are rising, and restrictions are easing in Ottawa. There is plenty to get out and enjoy this summer weekend in the city. From farmers’ markets, to vintage markets, live music, to art exhibits; there is a little something for everyone. Without further ado, here are the details on this weekend’s happenings.
Whether you have a weekend of museum and patio hopping planned, or a quiet picnic in your neighbourhood park, stay safe, stay hydrated, support local businesses, and take a deep breath of that July air, friends. We’ve gotten this far together. Let’s keep one another safe.
We’ve made it to the halfway point of 2021 and it looks like we might finally be turning a corner in this pandemic life we’ve come to consider normal. Exciting as that may be, we’ve some other suggestions for weekend activities that are equally fun.
No matter where you are in your vaccination journey, there’s something for everyone this weekend! Virtual events to do safely from home, in-person but physically distanced, and ones where you and your bubble can attend together! Enjoy it, Ottawa!
As summer really gets going, and we responsibly re-enter society there are a lot of things to celebrate and enjoy!

I won’t lie, the thought of more online events makes my eyes blur, but the longer we stay home, and stay safe, the more rewarding it will be […]
We are under stay-at-home orders for yet another weekend here in Ottawa and, while we are not able to go out on the town like we once were, there are still ways to make the most of the weekend while staying safely indoors or adventuring in the outdoors while remaining close to home.
