Will March be coming in like a lion or a lamb? We will find out this weekend either way! With the temps dropping again, we may return to our favourite winter activities, like mountain goating over downtown snow banks and skating on the canal. If you’d rather be indoorsy, we have you covered.

All Weekend

Friday and Saturday, you can get your fill at the I Heart Beer & Taco Festival at the EY Centre. There are three sessions between the two days, and tickets start at $20 online. The event is cash only when you arrive, and there are ATMs on site.

You can still catch The Children by Bear & Co. at the Gladstone this weekend at 7:30pm, and for matineés on Saturday and Sunday. The dark comedy about love and marriage in the face of a nuclear disaster is a crowd pleaser. Tickets start at $25 for students and artists. Regular admission is $41.

From health and labour conditions to personal stories of resilience, the Barrack Hill Cemetery opens a window into a time that shaped the city we know today. The lecture is free to attend and begins at 6:30pm.
