Bundle up and prepare to get festive: we are full on into the holiday events this weekend! There are plenty of great opportunities to support local this weekend at one of the many holiday markets around town, as well as at all your favourite local shops. If you need some inspiration, check out some previous #Support613 Holiday Gift Guides (and let us know your favourite spots to shop local in the comments!).
And in case you missed it, Apartment613 is looking for new board members. Learn more here and apply by December 21.

Sunday
One of my absolute favourite holiday traditions is to pick up a festive drink then drive around town to check out the various light displays. The Magic of Lights at Wesley Clover Parks is an excellent (paid) adventure, as are trips to Taffy Lane in Orléans or to the Turcotte Family Christmas fundraiser in Stittsville. A bit further afield you can check out Alight at Night at Upper Canada Village.
You can also leave the car at home and explore the Winter Lights Across Canada display by foot in Ottawa and Gatineau (check out this handy map!). While walking downtown, don’t miss the Trees of Hope for CHEO at the Château Laurier.
