Another beautiful spring weekend is upon us! Whether you want to enjoy some live music or theatre, grab a drink, buy something local, or learn some new skills there’s plenty to choose from!

All weekend

The Spring Makers Market is taking place at the Merrickville Community Centre on Saturday and Sunday with 30 different makers each day with all original wares.

Until Saturday you can catch Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s production of Snow White at the NAC.

Inner Elder plays through Sunday at the NAC, recounting one woman’s transformation from a young girl navigating the shambles of her family life to a Gemini Award-winning actor and artist.

Thursday

Zaki Ibrahim will be performing on the Fourth Stage at the NAC. Ibrahim’s music brings elements of spoken word, hip hop, soul, house and 70s pop together.

The Canadian War Museum is hosting a lecture on The Battle of Vimy Ridge and Its Legacies.

Famed Canadian record producer and musician Daniel Lanois brings his Trio Lanois to Salle Odyssée for an intimate show.

Queens of the Stone Age bring their End is Nero tour to the Canadian Tire Centre.

The Ottawa Swing Dance Society presents its Friday Swing Dance with your chance for a beginning lesson if needed before dancing the night away!

Saturday

Sarah Segal-Lazar, an alt-folk singer-songwriter based in Montreal, will be headlining at the Rainbow, featuring The Magic Machine and the Ottawa Guitar Trio.

Bobby Dove performs on the NAC’s Fourth Stage.

The ever-changing 613flea marketplace is back at Aberdeen Pavilion at Lansdowne Park. This next installment will also welcome three new food vendors: Ferme Butte & Bine Farm, Delights by Mama and Rocket Scone.

While you’re there, stay for Atlético Ottawa’s season-opening match for what’s looking like will be an unbelievable year with some star players.
