When orphan Sam gets accepted into an asteroid space mining firm, she can’t wait to get off Earth and have a chance at a better future. Her journey to space and training in the program proves to be less idyllic than she imagined, but she stays positive, clinging on to her hopes of a grand adventure.
When her first mission results in an attack from the most fearsome pirate in space, she is left stranded with her captain and an android, fighting for survival. When Sam comes across two aliens, she learns more about their ways and that there may be a way they can work together.

Brought to life by hit-after-hit musical numbers, the brilliant props, costuming and talented cast of singers and actors who never miss a beat, the story keeps great pacing and develops the characters seamlessly while still including many classic sci-fi nods and snappy one liners.
The live band and additional sound effects are the cherry on top to a well-oiled, and out-of-this-world, production.
One Small Misstep is a musical comedy adventure that will keep you laughing and singing along from beginning to end.
One Small Misstep is at undercurrents until Feb. 9. Tickets are pay-what-you-can, ranging from $10 to $50. For more information and to purchase tickets, see the undercurrrents schedule here.
