Hungry, audiophiles? We’ve got your back – or stomach, more appropriately. This week’s edition of the Apartment613 Live podcast – which you can catch live Thursdays from 2-3 pm on CHUO 89.1 FM, by the way – is all about one of our favourite topics: the mighty cupcake.
We launch right into the sugary subject matter (literally – we’re missing the first 90 seconds of this week’s show, unfortunately) as we chat with contributor Sabrina Bowman about her scientific survey of Ottawa’s best cupcake vendors. (We’ll be posting the results either on the weekend or early next week.) Kerry Duffy of Ottawa South bakery Life of Pie joins us in studio, and our intrepid intern Evey Hornbeck shares some of Twitter’s favourite local baked goods. And indie rockers Hotshotcasino try to lure the capital’s cupcake bakers to their 7-inch release party Saturday night.
