By Apartment613 on August 6, 2025

The third annual Outaouais Herb Gathering festival, happening this weekend, Aug. 9-10 at the Old Findlay Farm in Gatineau, will highlight the healing power of plants.

The festival brings together herbalists, healers, artisans, and more, to celebrate plant-based wisdom and community connection. This year’s theme is “The Art of Herbal Medicine,” and will include bilingual workshops, demonstrations, herb walks, a dinner and evening musical event for plant-lovers of all experience levels.

Festival schedule from website.

There will also be a conference on Saturday morning hosted by Christine Denis, who holds a Master of Science in Herbal Medicine from the University of Wales in the UK. She is a registered herbalist and past president of the Ontario Herbalists Association. Her work integrates clinical herbalism, deep ecology, and spiritual insight, making her a powerful voice in the evolving landscape of plant medicine.

“This gathering is more than just a conference,” say the organizers via press release. “It’s a space for inspiration, connection, and reweaving our relationship with the natural world. Christine Denis brings a depth of knowledge and presence that truly embodies the spirit of this year’s theme.”

Outaouais Herb Gathering festival is taking place from Aug. 9-10 at the Old Findlay Farm (890 Chemin Cook Rd., Gatineau). Book your weekend or day passes here.

Visitors can join for one or both days, as on-site camping and nearby accommodations are available for booking. Those camping are welcome to join in the evening Aug. 8 ahead of the event.
