Happy Capital Pride Ottawa! There are plenty of cool events happening this weekend (and beyond!) to celebrate pride in the capital, plus a bunch of great music and theatre shows all weekend long.
We’re fully into the summer madness with a bunch of different events and activities happening around town this weekend!
It’s already the weekend and there’s plenty on the go so let’s dive right in!
This Sunday marks the first day of fall, but this weather has us hanging onto those summer vibes. We’ve got a real mix of events this weekend, ranging from art and food festivals to road races to Oktoberfest celebrations!
There’s no better way to kick off the weekend than by celebrating Ottawa’s amazing local arts and culture this Thursday at 613 Day.
It always feel like we’ve made it to summer after hitting that first long weekend! This weekend, despite only last a couple shorts days, is jammed packed with events and activities.
It finally feels like we’ve turned a corner on all that April rain and will see the May flowers now! Enjoy this beautiful spring in our fab capital with some of our suggestions below!
April showers have brought us May flowers! Although we’re still a week away from the start of the annual Canadian Tulip Festival, some of the early tulips have bloomed in Major’s Hill Park, along the Rideau Canal, and at Dow’s Lake. While I could easily spend a weekend touring the tulips, there are plenty of other options to pass your time this weekend.
It’s that time of the year when we all go What!? How is it already mid-August?! Where has summer gone? So, let’s make the best of it and enjoy all the fantastic movies, music, shows, art, food and outdoor activities going on this weekend.
Whenever someone tells you Ottawa is a boring government town, tell them I said they clearly never had to put together a Weekend Roundup. Hopefully, you’ll have some time off work to enjoy a long weekend. Plenty is happening indoors and out, so check that forecast (and air quality index?!) and hit up some incredible events across our great city.
