The Ottawa Arts Council announced the recipients of its annual Arts Awards last night. Nominations were evaluated by a peer assessment group composed of arts leaders in the community representing different artistic disciplines, in addition to having an equity advisor oversee a portion of the deliberations.
Ottawa Art Gallery’s Galerie Annexe presents the photo exhibition Stéphane Alexis: Chains & Crowns, until Sept. 12, 2021. Each photograph features a hairstyle of African descent; lit, framed and presented with extensively researched information.
