Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

The first weekend of fall is shaping up nicely in the 613. The leaves are turning, the apples are ripe, and things are starting to get spooky! Take in some cool walking tours, a cozy movie, some great shopping, or a soccer game and see where the city takes you.

Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

Well, it happened. August sure did slip away into a moment in time, and September is already two weeks old and I’m still trying to get to the beach one more time.  It’s one of the best months for events around town, with the weather finally cooperating, and a returned feeling of routine, and needing to make the most of the weekends. Whether it’s live music, party vibes, cozy theatre, or getting involved in the community — our city has you covered.

Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

It’s the final weekend of March, so is it going out like a lion or a lamb? Whether or not the weather holds, there is so much happening around town that this Roundup is jam-packed with great stuff to check out.

Finally, we’ve reached the last weekend of January! Winterlude kicks off this weekend, and for the first time in a long time, the weather is cooperating for the winter festival, and keeping the canal open and sculptures frozen! If the outdoors aren’t your jam, there is plenty to do inside this weekend too, from live music, to craft markets and seed planting workshops.

Well, it’s here. Winter really just arrived in all its glory, and I hope everyone is safe, dry, and feeling cozy. If you are looking to get out of the house this weekend, there is definitely lots going on, both Christmas themed and not. Dig out your driest socks and make the most of the city when it’s all clean and white!

Winter is coming! In Ottawa, that usually also means the holiday events are coming, so this weekend the twinkle lights, carolling, and festivities are really getting started, but there is plenty of non-Santa related culture happening, so strap in!

Halloweekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

It’s the first weekend of November, if you can believe it, and the official end of Spooky Season. The weather has been playing tricks on us, but there is still plenty of colour left in the trees, and lots to keep you busy this weekend. Don’t forget that the clocks go back at 1am on Sunday!

And just like that, it’s October and the beginning of fall and spooky season. The temperatures have started to drop a bit, but it’s still plenty nice out to enjoy the beginnings of the fall colours, some Oktoberfest events, and a growing list of spooky nights. Stay safe out there ghouls and goblins.

The grass is greener, the blooms are blooming, and patios are starting to open back up for spring! Hurrah! This weekend is shaping up to be a lovely calm before the storm of busy spring weekends and festivals, so enjoy the fresh air, cheer on our teams, or take in some culture. All Weekend This […]

Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

March has certainly been flying by, and this weekend is the calm between the storms of St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, so take a moment to breathe as spring officially begins. I don’t think any of us were expecting to see grass and open water so soon, so take advantage of the weather and enjoy some sunshine, or some sugar shacks perhaps?

Weekend Roundup: Quoi faire?

It’s hard to believe that this weekend marks the beginning of March! With warm temperatures and plenty to do, it’s time to celebrate its arrival and get out on the town.
