The final weekend of August is upon us and, while summer might be winding down, there is still a lot to do around town to enjoy what is left of the season.

It’s another HOT summer in Ottawa, but there’s plenty to do. From regular events like Atlético Ottawa games and bingo to special events like the NAC Orchestra performing Murdoch Mysteries with the man himself, Yannick Bisson, there’s lots to do.

On the one hand, I can’t believe July is over. On the other hand—a long weekend for many of us! Whatever your work schedule, we hope you can find something you enjoy or new to explore this weekend from our suggestions below.

We’ve made it to the weekend, friends! After a short work week for some, we’ve slogged through the heat, humidity, and smoke and managed to get ourselves back to a chock-full weekend in the 613. Take the chance to hit up a nearby beach, check out the opening weekend of Bluesfest, or any of the following cool events happening around town.
