The Great Canadian Theatre Company (GCTC) today announced its 2023–24 subscription season with five new mainstage productions, through which five Canadian playwrights share their humourous, heartfelt, provocative, and playful visions of how we relate, what we mean to each other, and how much we need to be together.
It is Ottawa’s favourite season, friends: festival season! Coming hard on the heels of Jazzfest is our world-famous Bluesfest. Mix in the Lebanese Festival and the Stewart Park festival in Perth and you have got one perfect 613 weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and hit the beach, support a local patio, or take in any of the amazing musical acts happening around the city.
Let us begin with a bit of good news: this weekend promises a little nugget of sunshine and a whole lotta great things going on to compensate for the rain drops and grey skies. From there, we jump head first into this weekend’s goings on.
Pour la deuxième année consécutive, un collectif de théâtre créatif et audacieux revient en force cet été pour offrir du Molière en plein air dans le Vieux-Hull. Du 20 au 29 juillet, sera présentée La Jalousie du Barbouillé, une toute nouvelle mouture de l’ingénieux et indémodable Molière.
