Harmony House’s 10th annual Red & White Gala celebrated a successful turnout, and it was evident to see why it has been named the most anticipated wine and food event in the city. I had the opportunity to attend this amazing evening of culinary delights, good company, and wonderful entertainment in the beautiful setting of Ashbury College in Rockcliffe Park.
All proceeds will benefit Ottawa’s Harmony House, a 2nd stage shelter which provides women and children with a safe haven and programs that help to build lives. Thank you to fabulous local chefs Ryan Edwards (Salt Dining Lounge), Steve Harris (two six {ate}), and Sarah Farmer (Get Your Sweet Fix) who prepared a fine 4-course dinner, all the vendors who supplied some of the best food, wines & spirits Ontario has to offer, the many organizations who donated items for silent auction, Rachelle Behrens for the great entertainment, Mayor Jim Watson for his support and eloquent speech, and to Kerry Gervais of Harmony House for organizing such a special event.
