On Tuesday evening, Ottawa played host to the Harlem Globetrotters, the renowned exhibition basketball team famous for their incredible athleticism and entertaining performances.

Originating in the 1920s in Chicago’s South Side, they quickly rose to prominence for their unique blend of basketball skills, humour, and showmanship. The team’s signature moves, including sliding dribbling tricks, alley-oops, and elaborate passing routines, have captivated audiences of all ages for generations. This night was no different, as they lined up to play the Washington Generals with plenty of tricks up their sleeve.

Crowd participation is always a big part of the game, as kids from all over the city were involved in mini-games and helping the Globetrotters to get a few buckets. There was even a dance number on centre court for one lucky fan. With their enduring legacy and commitment to entertainment and goodwill, the Harlem Globetrotters continue to inspire future generations and entertain audiences across the world.
