In a recent interview with NPR, Ottawa’s new nightlife commissioner, Mathieu Grondin, shared his vision for transforming our city’s after-dark landscape. He talked about protecting our existing venues, encouraging new ones, and getting the word out that Ottawa’s not just a 9-to-5 city. Plus, there’s a big plan to bring 40,000 more residents downtown in the next decade.
Grondin’s idea of a perfect night starts with “a happy hour after work, then hitting a nice restaurant, then going out to see a show, live music. And then if you’ve still got some energy, maybe we can go dance late at night, you know?”
Sounds like a great time, right?
