The Iron Cabaret brings us another fantastic lineup of dancers, aerialists, pole dancers, and burlesque artists in their newest show, Rhythm Around the World, at The Gladstone Theatre until June 14.
This 18+ show brings culture and global roots to each performance, exploring tradition, stories, and history from around the globe. Performance art is all about storytelling through movement, expression, and music, and these performances certainly convey a variety of fables, legends, myths, and narratives from across many different cultural and geographic backgrounds.

With more than 20 countries and regions represented in the show the audience is brought to locations across continents. From Canada, to Argentina, Brazil, Hungary, China, Tunisia, and Iran, among many others, the representation is vast. Each artist has complete creative control over their performance which allows the show to highlight different styles of performances, with unique artistic interpretations.
Iron Cabaret has become known for their passionate support of all things local. With a fundraiser at intermission with 50 per cent of proceeds going towards a charity (for this production the Ottawa Stray Cat Rescue) and 50 per cent supporting their bursaries for local Ottawa artists, you can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes from local Ottawa businesses. To date, Iron Cabaret has created 39 bursaries and raised $20,000 for charity.

Adding to Ottawa’s local arts scene, Rhythm Around the World is a great quality production, each performer is incredibly skilled, leaving audiences cheering, hollering, and in awe. You get great bang for your buck, with a performance different then anything Iron Cabaret has done before. In fact, they never put on the same show twice, to make sure that when you come out for a live show the experience is always new! So If you saw their last show Bawdy Broadway Bodies you can have just as much fun (if not more!) with a new mix of performers, performances, and talent.

Iron Cabaret’s Rhythm Around the World takes place until June 14 with 7:30 pm evening performances. The show runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes with an intermission. Tickets range between $49 – $70 and the show is 18+.
