Sunday night at the Bronson Centre hosted a special hometown show with one of Ottawa’s biggest hip hop artists, Night Lovell. Selling out the venue, fans were eagerly waiting as the line stretched well around the block on a snowy evening in the city.
Night Lovell’s performance was an electrifying burst of energy, with his signature dark and atmospheric beats. His powerful stage presence and intrinsic flow kept fans entranced through the entire set. The energy in the crowd raged on, as the mosh pits opened up and fans rapped along to every verse. There were several guest appearances throughout the night, as fellow Ottawa rappers Lindasson and FTG Reggie joined Lovell on stage for their featured verses. The crowd went home buzzing, answering the call of Night Lovell’s latest album I Hope You’re Happy.
Opening the night was a triple header of quick sets from Haarper, Germ, and Jahsh, which were a taste of what was to come later in the evening. Each beat filled with clipping 808s and melodic hooks, the three rappers bounced around on stage feeding off the crowd.
