Gig Photos: Mipso at Red Bird Live 11.09.23

Red Bird began in 2021 as a venue dedicated mainly to folk music and its cousins—the stuff you probably wouldn’t see at Ottawa’s plentiful punkier bars. Mipso’s Thursday night gig fit that mission statetement perfectly, as the Chapel Hill, North Carolina–based string quartet put on an amazing showcase of their traditional-sounding yet contemporary music.
