A last-minute venue change (how many tornado warnings have we had this summer?) did nothing to dim the House of PainT 20th anniversary party. Friday night was the OG500 poetry slam, Ottawa’s biggest poetry competition. Saturday night’s main events revolved around a hip-hop extravaganza: dance competitions, DJing, essentially all the stuff worth living for. Luckily, the National Arts Centre was happy to host again after Brewer Park got rained out.
See Curtis Perry’s photos in the gallery. They’ll make you want to attend next year.
