Sunday morning sunrise yoga… in a park… with a cello. Sounds like a dream; or Day 10 of Chamberfest. Led by Anna Petersen (herself an obeist with the NAC Orchestra) and accompanied Julie MacLaine playing Bach’s cello works, Chamberfest-goers got their day off to a gorgeous start.
The Midday Matinée was another treat, with pianist and soprano singer Rachel Fenlon performing Schubert’s Die Winterreise.
The Nordic Voices led a community singalong, the Cris Derksen Quartet performed at Lansdowne, and the day ended with the Dinuk Wijerante Trio, a piano/percussion/bass trio blending classical influences with jazz.
