For the past 38 years, the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival/Festival de montgolfières Gatineau has been inviting guests to take in the views of the region’s landscape, enjoy live performances, and take part in their Beauce Carnaval Amusement Park.

This year, from Aug. 27-31, they are adding one more night of fun and an additional stage to their festival, allowing them to diversify the range of performances on offer.

“Staying true to its tradition of presenting an international-caliber lineup, the FMG will offer five exceptional concert nights this year,” writes Sandra Cloutier, Executive Director of the FMG. “The addition of a fifth concert night also provides even more opportunities to experience the breathtaking hot air balloon flights that make the FMG so unique.”

Artists Flo Rida, TALK, and Alessia Cara are among the lineup of performers set for this year. The new fourth stage, fittingly named the Extra Stage, will host artists Véronique Labbé, Boogāt, Danick Bastien, and more.

Hot air balloon flights take off every day at 6:30am and 6:30pm, except on Wednesdays. All flights are subject to weather conditions.

Other activities, such as the fireworks, car show, outdoor games, silent disco, mini-golf, and more, will also take place throughout the festival.

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon festival runs from Aug. 27-31 at Parc de la Baie in Gatineau.

Buy your tickets early, as there will be no ticket office on site. You can buy passes for the Hot Air Balloon Festival online, starting at $49.99 for an adult day pass. Entry is free for children under the age of 10, although they still require a ticket. Options for camping at the festival are also available. Find more information here.
