Preview interview: The Addams Family Musical Oct 31 to Nov 3 at Arts Court

To wrap up the spooky season, Lost Baggage Musical Theatre is making Ottawa a bit more creepy and kooky as it brings The Addams Family Musical to Arts Court Theatre. Opening on Halloween night, the musical will give audiences a taste of the dark side intertwined with classic family dynamics and humour. Broadway Nights Ottawa (BNO) has been making musical theatre fans’ hearts explode with joy for over a year now. We’ve had the pleasure of attending most monthly events and interviewing founder Emma Chin a few times. BNO is hosting its second Halloween Extravaganza and so we sat down with Emma to hear what Broadway fans can expect this year.

Q&A: The Lion King at the NAC starting Oct. 24

Broadway Across Canada brings the touring production of Disney’s The Lion King to the National Arts Centre starting Oct. 24 for an extended run with additional matinee performances. A six-time Tony Award-winning show, including Best Musical, it’s based on the animated Disney film we all know and love. A production full of grandeur, this show promises to bring audiences into the beauty and sounds of the Pride Lands. We got to chat with Erick D. Patrick, who plays the role of Simba, to learn more about the touring production.
